The Gas Tax was increased from $.07 to $.14 on 04/19/2012 in Act Number 29-0304. Since the increase the 14-cent tax should be going into a newly created fund called the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority Generating and Infrastructure Fund for WAPA to fund new generators on St. Thomas and St. Croix. |
